Today the head of the Central Epidemic Command Center, Minister Chen Shih-chung gave a press conference for the foreign press corps. Along with the #TaiwanModel, the commander’s reputation has spread far and wide, so we thought we’d give the international press the chance to ask him some questions.
They asked how Taiwan was able to roll out measures so early, and why the Taiwanese public have been so accepting of these measures. Obviously Minister Chen replied that transparency on pandemic prevention was of the utmost importance! He also mentioned the MOFA website’s dedicated coronavirus resources section!
